Heavy Landing or what?

Post by John Khan »

Ouch

Looks like one of my old ones, but it was officially a good one, you know what they say, "any landing you can walk away from is a good one!!". The two pilots walked away from this

Allan, can you fix this and I'll pick it up on monday.

Fix it? I dont know about that one. At least it didnt flip over on its back. Here is another good one:

I still disagree with the notion of most air carriers that the pilot makes the final determination of whether or not the landing was considered "hard". Maybe thats why Airbus aircraft literally tell on the pilots.

Just like our GCP, my last landing was an "Ouch". I had to divert due to fog rain and low cloud, I think, or maybe the ASE was playing up as I could not see the ground on short final.
