Away for a while

Post by John Khan »

First I would like to mention how interesting it is to see the "new" guys joining GC. Quite a few of them seem to have lots of real life experience, which is a great thing for all of us.

I'm going to be away for a while, as the computer is in the shop. They said it is too old to update so a brand new one is being built.....yum 8)

Just to brag a bit........

AMD quad core 3.4 gigs.
4 X 2 gig Amicroe DDR 1333 Mhz. Ram modules (AMD optimum)
1 gig mainboard
1 X 300 gig Velociraptor HD (for Op. System, Programs, and FS9)
keeping the old 75 gig Velociraptor with FSX already on.
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
and........... wait for it..........
Nvidia GTS460 XFX Graphics card

They said this should all "balance out" perfectly and nothing will be slowing anything else down.

Also, i have gone back to work on the coal mines (this is necessary to be able to pay for the new computer) so will be away for some time.

Back soon

Heh Heh

Thanks all

Yes I sent in an LOA request and a note to Luc. The tower is ready and in a couple of weeks I should be able to pay for it.

Speaking of being away, I completely forgot to tell all of you that I am currently on vacation in St. Augustine Florida at Anastasia State Park. Having a wonderful time and just came back from visiting the Cape. Be back on the 25th. Will be trying to check here a few times. If you guys from NSA have a problem or need something, don't e-mail but post on the forum....until the 25th. Thanks. By the way, if anybody lives by St. Augustine, I'd be willing to go for a beer.
