P3D Aircraft in separate folder?

Post by John Khan »

Whilst reinstalling and updating my purchased aircraft into P3D, there was a notice from one saying that Lockheed Martin prefer added aircraft to be installed into a separate folder, which can even be on another drive?? It actually said a separate place?

This is the first time I have seen this, and I would like to find if anyone knows about it, and what is the reason for it.

BTW, I was reinstalling and updating the Real Air Turbine Duke at the time.I had the FSX model and had reinstalled it into P3S. Then bought the official update, even though it worked in P3D as it was. During the update process was when the message appeared.

I believe I read that P3Dv3.2 changed where it looks for aircraft and they want installers putting aircraft in a different location than was previously the norm. I don't remember the specific details though I haven't noticed much difference when installing aircraft. I install aircraft wherever the addon installer defaults to.
