New Pilot PIREP SETUP

Post by Tom Dennis »

Hello,

New Pilot Tom Dennis 3208. I can't seem to get the PIREP software to work. I'm using P3D v4, PMDG 747-400F, nVidia Ge Force 1080 GTX 8gig VRAM, 16gig RAM, i7 7700 4.4 ghz, REX Direct Textures, AivlaSoft EFB It won't start logging the letters are in RED.I filled out FP, Flight #,to and from ICAO aircraft type and ship number. Any help would be appreciated. I did look through Pilot Handbook but it didn't help much. I hate to rush everyone for responses but my 14 Day Probation requirement is almost upon me so I got to log a flight asap.

Silly question, did you complete the initial setup when installed with pilot number and what not? Did it verify when you clicked that button?

If you have, are any of the drop down boxes still red when you try and click start logging?

Hello,
I did validate my information however, there are only two flightsim options: FS9 and FSX. I'm using P3D v4. Is the PIREP software P3D v4 compatible?

Theres been some issues for some lately I've read, but if you download the one available in the discord thread you might be okay. I'm in the process of trying a flight now myself.

As for the FS9 or FSX set up I've always used the fsx side and just pointed it to the same path its looking for, except its P3D.

So, all the drop down boxes have something in them, and there isn't anything still red?

Ok, that error usually pops up if GCP is running before P3d is started.

When you open GCP, does it show the correct time for the sim in the upper right?

I finally got the PIREP to work however, my P3D v4 crashes about 140nm into a flight I have like 5 incomplete flights as a result of those CTD's FYI I use the PMDG QOTSII v3 with another VA and I have no crashes. No new scenery, utilities (except for GCVA Pirep) my setup has not changed or has been tweeked since the initial release and again I am only experiencing this when I have the GCVA Pirep running in the background. I'm going try again this morning.
