The Sun is Setting on FSACARS

That day has come. Beginning tomorrow evening, GC will no longer provide support for FSACARS. The reasons have been well advertised in posts located here in the past. There is some important information to know regarding the discontinuation of FSACARS support:

• FSACARS reports will always be accepted for as long as you can keep FSACARS running. Our termination of support excludes PIREPs.
• The FSACARS support forum will be locked. It will remain viewable as a self-help option for those that can fix their FSACARS installation themselves with guidance from existing posts.
• FSACARS download will be removed from the download section. New pilots will need to use GCP or FSFK.
• Link the FSACARS forum will be removed.
• All references to FSACARS will be removed from GC website and manuals.
• We will however provide a single download of new ini files for all of our ACMI airlines as there's a change coming soon regarding that. This file will be available for download for a month or two before being pulled. I will note on the forum when this download is available.

Just to reiterate, current FSACARS users will not be locked out of submitting PIREPs via FSACARS. The real effect of this is that management will no longer provide support for broken FSACARS installations via the FSACARS forum or email.

FSACARS support termination is now effective.

The file containing all of the airline templates is now available for download on the Downloads page. Templates are included for all of our airline operations: PAC, GTI, DHX, UAE, GEC, ANZ, and QFA. Place the .ini files in your main FSACARS directory and open the file in a text editor. Place your pilot number on the "Pilot Number=" line and save.
