Chief Pilots & Assistant Chief Pilots

OVERVIEW

Globe Cargo Virtual Airlines is currently in the process of further developing the Flight Operations Department capabilities in order to be able to provide members with an organization unlike any other virtual carrier organization.
The initial phase of development includes recruiting and training management pilots.

Below are the job descriptions for both Chief Pilots and Assistant Chief Pilots. The Assistant Chief Pilot positions are obviously something new for GCVA. These positions will provide opportunities for more members to become involved in the management of the airlines, along with providing a TEAM of Subject Matter Experts on each of the various aircraft fleets operated by GCVA .

Please note that the basic requirements for the two positions call for the Chief Pilot to hold the rank of Captain, while the Assistant position is open to any Flight Crew-member.


OPEN POSITION(S)

We are currently seeking persons to fill Chief Pilot and Assistant Chief Pilot positions for the following fleets:
- B-747-200
- MD-11
- B-737
- B-727
- ATR

We are also seeking an Assistant Chief Pilot for the B-767 fleet.


POSITION DESCRIPTIONS


Position: Chief Pilot

Reports To: Senior Chief Pilot

Positions Managed: Aircraft Specific Flight Crew-members

Primary Duties, relating to the specific assigned aircraft:
• Provide input and assistance in the development and maintenance of aircraft specific policies
and procedures and their related manuals.
• Assist in developing and maintaining aircraft ground and flight training programs.
• Assist in the recruitment, initial training, and retention of all GCVA pilots.
• Provide Subject Matter Expert assistance to various GCVA departments.
• Provide Senior Managers with input regarding any infractions or inappropriate behavior from
supervised Flight Crew-members.
• Other duties as assigned by Senior Managers.

Minimum Requirements: Hold the rank of Captain.


Position: Assistant Chief Pilot

Reports To: Senior Chief Pilot

Positions Managed: Assist aircraft specific Chief Pilot with management of Crew-members

Primary Duties, relating to the specific assigned aircraft:
• Assist in providing input and assistance, in the development and maintenance of aircraft specific
policies and procedures and their related manuals.
• Assist in developing and maintaining aircraft ground and flight training programs.
• Assist in the recruitment, initial training, and retention of all GCVA pilots.
• Provide Subject Matter Expert assistance to various GCVA departments.
• Provide Senior Managers with input regarding any infractions or inappropriate behavior from
supervised Flight Crew-members.
• Other duties as assigned by Senior Managers.

Minimum Requirements: Be an Active Flight Crew member in Good Standing.

Specific Job Duties and Time Commitment for Positions
These are volunteer positions and the overall goal of the organization is related to a hobby. The positions are structured with these thoughts in mind and the specific job functions will evolve as various programs are developed and implemented.
At the conclusion of the application process, an informational meeting will be scheduled on TeamSpeak where Senior Managers will share some of the current projects being worked on, as well as a more in-depth explanation of the management pilot job roles.

Selection Process
Upon developing a list of interested persons, all eligible applicants will be contacted individually and provided with an application package. The Package will be fairly simple and will provide individualized specific information which can be used in selecting the best candidate for each position.
