While on a r/w business trip to Anchorage I thought I would bring my camera and try to sneak in a bit of plane spotting. I found the spot at the departure end of 33 where a few other photo-dudes were hanging out. (Probably the airliners.net guys judging by their gear) Well, within 30 minutes I was able to catch a few beauties including a KAL B744F, UPS B744F, UPS MD11F, a brand new Cathay Cargo B748F, and two of our very own Polar. I also stumbled upon the Polar/Atlas office there and took a few snaps of the signs outside. Lucky for me I have some good gear myself! Also included are a couple float plane pics. All are open for any GCVA member to download and use!

Really nice pics, Rick. I notice that Alaska appears to have its share of mankind that goes around putting bullets in roadsigns. We have plenty of them here in Australia.....btw I'm pro-gun but also pro-roadsign
Yeah i saw that. Ditto on the pro-gun but im very much anti-idiot-with-gun so i guess that makes me pro-road sign as well. Funny thing is that sign is on airport property near the cargo area. Not sure what idiot thinks its ok to squeeze off a round with very large aircraft nearby. Even for Alaska (because everbody carries there for protection from wildlife) thats pretty reckless and gives the rest of us a bad rep
