"Some shots of the Atlas Air repositioning flight from Kabul, Afghanistan to Dubai, UAE. On the apron at a wintery Kabul. [attachmentid=479] Ready for take-off. The reduced visibility is hiding the surrounding mountains. [attachmentid=480] Somewhere over Pakistan. [attachmentid=481] Over the Iranian desert. [attachmentid=482] Starting our descent over the Straight of Hormuz. [attachmentid=483] Following the coast into the Dubai area. [attachmentid=484] Manual landing on runway 12L at a hazy OMDB. [attachmentid=485] Shutting down in the Cargo area. [attachmentid=486]"

It is fair enough to engage ""ILS"" to follow the GS before you disengage the A/P at 400 feet AGL. <!--emo&B)-->[img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif[/img]<!--endemo-->"

I think I changed one of parameters in my fs9.cfg to increase the terrain resolution, but I can't remember what it is. I found the tip on one of the forums somewhere. I think it was one of those, but I'm not sure: TERRAIN_ERROR_FACTOR=100.000000 TERRAIN_MIN_DEM_AREA=30.000000 TERRAIN_MAX_DEM_AREA=100.000000 TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL=20 TERRAIN_TEXTURE_SIZE_EXP=8 TERRAIN_AUTOGEN_DENSITY=2 TERRAIN_USE_GRADIENT_MAP=1 TERRAIN_EXTENDED_TEXTURES=1 TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=9.5000 TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=9.5000 TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS=3.5"

I was going to perform a dual ILS automated landing because of the haze. It's been quite hazy the past few times I landed at OMDB. I had it all set up at 2500 ft but when I saw the ground at 1200 ft I disconnected the AP."

"Quick question Michel; over the Iranian desert, we see a picture of the window and the seat. They look nicer than mine. Is it first or second version?"
